Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Offically Full timers now

Finally. Last night we spent our first night are true full timers in our new Cardinal 36TS Fiver.

After two weeks of anguish with the dealership we purchased from, they finally delivered our "house" on Friday, and yesterday we "moved in".

I will work for 14 more months, so we'll pretty much be stationery for that time, then its on the road we will go!

Thank you all for all your support along this part of our venture, and for all your input of information and suggestions.

We are so new at this, and wow are learning and having to learn quickly.

You all be blessed!

Al

We are happy for you!  Now take time to breath.  You have plenty of time to learn about your new home and become comfortable with it.  The hard part is waiting until you can get on the road but that will come sooner than you think.  Enjoy your new life.

We weekended at Oliver Lee and hiked the 6 miles of Dog Canyon mountain trail.  Tired, sore, but not on the road full time yet.

Your new Cardinal sounds great.  We know you will enjoy it.

Congrats!!!  You are now on my official "to be envied" list!!  Have a long and wonderful life on the open road!  Someday we will be joining you.  We have a 5 year plan to pay off all debt and prepare for take-off.  The plan was stymied a little this summer when my husband got laid off from his job of 16 years.  We thought about just going then - but we still have too much debt.  It would have taken all our savings and profits from selling the house to pay it off leaving us very little to live on.  So we job hunted and he did get another job about 2 weeks ago and it is going well for him there.  So hopefully he can work another 5 years and then we'll be off - as long as nothing else goes wrong and our health holds up.  Really wish we had known about the FT lifestyle about 20 years ago before we ran up bills buying things we never needed and never used and are now selling at garage sales!!  Take note all you youngsters out there - buy only what you need and don't let the ads and store displays take your money out of your pocket!!  SAVE, invest, and retire early while you are healthy enough to enjoy it.  Okay - my soapbox is over!!

Thanks for listening!!
