Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hello from Christine and Alex

We've been researching RVing for over 10 years since we were stationed in Yuma, Az.  Alex was an active duty pilot for the Marine Corps and flew out of Yuma.  I spent my time in Yuma checking out all the RV shows.  As most of you know there's a lot of RVs in Yuma.  Actually, there's not a lot to do in Yuma other than look at RVs!!  Especially in the winter, there's thousands of them.  Got to talking to some of the folks and they told me all about full timing.  Well, we are now in Corpus Christi, Texas and Alex is retired from the USMC but still working at the base as a simulator instructor teaching students from the Navy, USMC, Air Force, etc.  how to fly using the simulator.  He likes the simulator very much as the pilots can't kill him!!   Our son is grown and in grad school.  He's pretty much on his own.  So, all we have to do is sell a lot and then our house and we will be on the road.  Unfortunately, real estate is not selling very fast here on Padre Island so we may be a year or more before we can hit the road.  Good luck to all of you in the beginning stages of full timing or half timing.  Let's hope we sell all of our property at the highest price, have a great garage sale and find the perfect rig.  Best wishes, Christine
