Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Intro Ron and Pat

Hi everyone, we are Ron and Pat Lowe. We were introduced to Howard and Linda back in March this year when I invited them to visit us in Clearwater Florida, and they accepted. It was funny the reaction we got from friends and family when we told them we had strangers coming to the house that we met through the Internet. But how can you call Howard and Linda strangers? They are kindred spirits for a burgeoning community.

Back to me and Pat. We are what I would call "Some-timers" who probably will never become Full-timers but will be transitioning to some serious part-timing as soon as I decide when I am going to quit my J-O-B and set my retirement date ... no comment Howard ... I work for a big computer company and have one of those corporate jobs like Howard used to have .... nice salary, yada yada yada  ...  finding it a bit tough to walk away but I have one foot out the door and could make a decision very soon.

We have two grown children and two grandchildren. One lives in Florida and the other in NC. We have a place in each place but call Fllorida home. I was born and raised in Tampa and Pat is originally from Cleveland, OH.

Got into RVing October 2004 when I rented a Class A 36ft Pace Arrow motorhome and went to a family gathering in the NC mountains. Turned out 3 of my cousins all have RVs, 2 with Motor homes and one with a fifth wheel. This experience could have ended our RV aspirations as we had never driven a Motorhome but as soon as my credit card cleared the rental agency flipped me the keys. The first two hours were sheer terror but I adapted and we bought a 32 foot  Class A Diesel Winnebago Journey December of 2004.

We split our time between Florida and NC. I am the one with the nomadic gene and Pat is a stay at home kind of person and she professes that she is not into camping. (So please if you meet us don't let her know that when we stay at these various "RV Resorts and Campgrounds" she may be camping".

Anyway to make a long story short we both love to travel, we enjoy each others company and the RV allows us a lot of mobility and flexibilty that staying in Hotels and such do not. Our differences complement our relationship, 37 years as of this past June.

I am into Photography, music (keyboards) and Pat is into grandkids (me too), birds, and cake decorating. And we both enjoy sharing time with friends.

I look forward to reading and sharing with Howard, Linda and now the community in the coming years.
