Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

We've been coming here for the past 12 years. Which team(s) do you want to follow/see? Ballparks are on the west side and east side of Phoenix. Parks are pretty full right now since spring training started on the 24th of February, so you will need to call around. Also, if you are a Cubs fans, there are no seats for spring training games - they literally sell out the first of January. Hardest tickets to get in the Cactus League.

Here's a link to a Cactus League stadium location map - www.mlb.com/spring-training/cactus-league/map It will give you an idea where in the Phoenix area the stadiums and which team(s) play at which stadium. And there are actually Cubs tickets available - but the bad news is you have to sit on the lawn (we went today and it is not too comfortable) and you'll have to pay $27 for that unshaded, uncomfortable seat. If you really want sticker shock, go into the Cubs gift shop. Believe it or not, the Giants might even be more expensive than the Cubs. Many of the other teams are relatively reasonably priced. There are no teams left in Tucson, they are all in the Phoenix area now. So wherever you stay, the drive shouldn't be too bad. We are in far east Mesa and the furthest stadium is in Surprise which is only an hour away.

At our age we don't do lawn seats, so I never look for them.

We have tickets for Sunday for the Rangers hosting the Mariners. Drive from Mesa is about an hour, we will do a late breakfast before heading for Surprise, easy with the 303 now open from I-10. Yes, the Giants games can be VERY pricey. We haven't been to a game in Scottsdale's for years because the prices got out of sight. We also try and catch the Rangers playing the Oakland As in Mesa (Hohokam park, where the Cubs use to play) and also at Talking Sticks in Scottsdale playing either the Diamondbacks or the Rockies.

I'm with you on those lawn seats. Not enjoyable!!! Talking Stick is a nice facility as is Camelback Ranch where the White Sox and Dodgers play. I would say their prices are mid-range, maybe a bit above mid. Being a Cub fan, Hohokam will always have a special place. Plus the A's are in the lower price bracket.

We are considering wintering in AZ 2019, for cactus league and warmth This year we were in South FL. Seems like cooler nights 40 and day temps in 70s. In the Phoenix area. How is it ?

I think we had a couple of nights below 40 this winter. Maybe 3 times it rained. I had a jean jacket on a few mornings, that was it, shorts the whole winter.

BTW - Spring Training games now start in February - the last week of February to be exact and the teams have left by the 25th or so of March.
