need door curtain ideas

A bachelor here, seeking ideas from the ladies for putting a curtain on my front door. There is about a finger width (1/2" to 5/8") space between the door & the screen. I am tired of handing a towel over the door.

Thanks in advance

Sew Velcro to material for curtain and stick other half of Velcro onto door. Worked for us years ago when we had a TT with a door in the bedroom.

If you're in a park where there's a quilting class, you might drop in on them to see if you could hire someone to help with your curtain. Even if there isn't a quilting club, you might check with the office to see if there's anyone in the park does alterations, etc. It would be a very simple project with a sewing machine.

Another thought is to use fabric glue to "sew" your curtain <http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00178QSE6/ref=s9_simh_gw_g21_i1_r?ie=UTF8&fpl=fresh&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=desktop-1&pf_rd_r=1CTNPA7AB4S3VBZNFG6V&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=2437869742&pf_rd_i=desktop> (if that link doesn't work, look for Aleene's Fabric Fusion Permanent Fabric Adhesive on Amazon). You'd need scissors and ideally an iron to make the seams look crisp and clean. There are lots of how to posts on the internet.

Good luck with your project!  Let us know what you come up with.

Is this for privacy or blacking out window area on door? Privacy, get one of the window 'frosting' clings - easy to put up and can be removed latter. Light will come through, but activity won't be visible.

I need them to block light because the TV swings out to be just in front of the door & of course that is the best viewing angle.

I think I know what you are talking about. It's your front door that you want to block light? Camping World sells something called a solar entry door window cover. It looks like the mini vehicle sun shades. It is around $10.

They have options at Walmart and other retailers that are made from a dark, thick paper type of material. You can cut them to fit that space. They are sold by the mini blinds.

Thank you all for your input and ideas. The solution I am using is a single short curtain on a rod across the top of the door lintels. Sort of like this except I have a single door  100_5482.jpg and the curtain rod is installed above the door lintel.
I don't have a spot to link my actually photos, so this facsimile will have to do. Thanks again!
