Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Wallet ICE cards to be used while traveling to protect yourselves and any animal babies who travel with you.

We have been concerned about if we were involved in an accident while out of the RV no one would know (till its too late) to check on our feathered kids and where the RV was parked. After looking over many samples (primarily for cats and dogs), we decided to make our own version. Our emergency contact card explains we are RVers, has a picture of our RV to help the authorities locate it and has lines so I can fill in the park information and our lot number.

On the backside I have put our Emergency contacts which for us is our daughters and son-in-law's and their cell numbers. I have also included a emergency contact for our parrots. It is a rescue that we support. They are willing to help our children get the parrots from where ever we are at the time, and or care for them till we are able to. (You may not need this additional information.)

We ordered ours from Vistaprint. We plan on keeping one in each of wallets as well as the glove box of the car, creating a new one whenever we relocate to a new park or area. I think the normal price for 500 front and back side business cards with printing was $36.00. We had a discount coupon so it was a little cheaper. Vistaprint is always offering some kind of discount coupons. I consider this a small price for our peace of mind.

We plan on putting ours in our wallets in front of our drivers licenses. If you have any questions just send me a message

Just a question on this idea, which I think is a darn good idea.

Should one leave a key to the RV in a specific place on the RV and note on the card where that key location is?  I realize that if one's wallet, purse, or vehicle is stolen, that information would also be available to the criminals.  But, one could also see about leaving a key with the RV park office in such a case and have that information on the card.

Terry we are still pondering the key idea.  At this moment we are not comfortable with the key, as we figure we are more likely to have a wallet or purse stolen than a serious accident.    We figure if needed the police can break the window on the cab door for entry.    We may change our opinion on the key at a later date.

We have almost the exact same thing - and I had them printed at VistaPrint. It has a blank line that I write the CG name and it states that we have a Heartland Landmark. It also includes ER phone numbers and states that we have a cat and please made sure she is cared for. If anyone has a need to call our ER contacts, they know where our hidden key is and can pass that info to the proper authorities.

After the 3rd 10 hour Amazon work day, I'm not up to figuring out how to upload a pic. Sorry
