When will there be a RV Dreams Rally in the South West?

Just curious why there hasn't been a Rally planned for us South West RV Dreams Members?  Would love to attend one of the educational rallies before hitting the road full time but we certainly don't want to drive 2,000 + miles to attend.  Just curious!confuse

I'm sure Howard can speak for himself, but one of the reasons they are staying east for now is his 93 year old father. He lost Mom at Christmas time and Dad lives on his own. Dad in hospital now and it was a blessing Howard and Linda were just five hours away. They have had rallies in the West in the past, but for now they will be "over there".

I'm so sorry I missed the rallies when they were closer!

Sorry we missed them too!  Plenty of info on this and other forums so we should be able to get educated without a rally.

Having spent 42 years back east, I have no desire to return....been there done that. biggrin  We were just hoping to meet some other Dreamers and get some schooling too.

Sometimes we have a small reunion in Quartzsite in Jan. This is not an educational rally just a RV-DH & reams family get together. Come and join us next year.

Come on up to northwest Michigan this October for the fall rally! This definitely isn't 'back east', and is absolutely gorgeous in the fall.

Isn't that above the "Mason Dixon Line?"  True Southerners don't travel above the line you know...LOL

History of the Mason-Dixon Line.

Sounds like a great place to visit but a little too far just to attend the rally.  About 2100 miles from Prescott, AZ.

Technically, it's NW of the MD line. Since the MD line ends more or less at the SW corner of PA you could always drive around it and never actually cross it and still be a true Southerner.biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin Welcome to Pure Michigan... no excuses now! TM(trademark) LOL

HA HA laughing.gif   Michigan is on our bucket list but I'm sure we won't make it this year.

Hey Mark & Nancy,

Yes, as has been pointed out, we have been staying east the last couple of years due to the health of my parents in Kentucky.  My mother passed away in December, and we are adjusting to my Dad living alone at 93.  So, while it's possible we may do another western trip in the next couple of years, it's not likely.

Generally, our plan is to spend two years in the east and two years in the west, and that was a great program for us in our first eight years on the road.  But family concerns have dictated otherwise lately.

We did an educational Rally in Oregon in 2012, a Boondocking Rally in Arizona in Feb 2013, and an educational Rally in New Mexico in March 2013, so we do go west.  We certainly want to get back there and do more rallies once we are comfortable that we can be that far away for several months at a time.

Thanks for the reply!  I totally understand your reasons for hanging back east and I feel certain we will meet up for a rally eventually.  For now I will just hang out on the forum to do my research.
