Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Winthrop Wa

We just finished our first week workamping at the Winthrop National Fish Hatchery.  The staff at the hatchery are so welcoming and very appreciative all we do, never knew there was so much to raising fish.  We will be here until the end of September, lots to see and do in this area and a great place to spend the summer.

That is my dream job! We had friends that volunteered at a hatchery in Wenatchee Wa for two summers and loved it. We usually find a paying job in the summer and volunteer in the winter. This summer's job has us going to Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana and Oregon. I plan to check out as many fish hatcheries as possible. Do you guys have a blog? I'd love to check in to see how your summer goes. Joan

Joan,

We don't have a blog yet, that is something I hope to get going this summer. We have done a lot of different types of volunteer work over the years (kids schools, Boy and Girl Scouts etc) but have never volunteered at a Hatchery and so far we really like it. What type of work are you doing this summer that takes you 4 different states?

We are mapping some 4x4 roads for an engineering company. You can check out the blog Steve writes to read more about it. We just finished our first week.

We've spent the last two winters volunteering at Lake Mead National Recreation Area driving their back country roads. We plan on going back in the winter for one more year. It has been a great place to volunteer.

We spent a few days in Winthrop last fall and really enjoyed our time there it is a really nice little community.  We did not make it to the hatchery but I would have liked to go there, we just ran out of time.  We spent time exploring North Cascades NP, what a treat.  Enjoy your summer.
