Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Casino campground

We have been full timing for 10 months now.  We have had reservations everywhere, learned quickly that week ends FILL federal and state campgrounds.  We are so happy to have had reservations.

Now we are needing some flexability.  We will be leaving NOLA at the end of April, moving toward Red Bay, AL to have some work done on the class a.  We are planning to stop in Vicksberg, MS at a casino for a few days.  Should we get reservations, or can we expect to find room?

Just for info we have stayed nearly always in Federal, state or military sites.  It's nice to have a retired miltary wife, and a Federal Senior Pass.

We kept our Florida residence, which gives FL seniors 1/2 price in state parks for our snowbirding.  We made reservations late last spring and stayed between Ocala and Sarasota.  FL limits stays to 2 weeks. The parks were completly full.

Thanks.

Most of the time the casino campgrounds have room if you call earlier in the day. But, rallies and events can fill them. We expected to have no trouble getting a space last month at the casino campground by Shreveport, but called and got the last site available since there was an event going on the coming weekend.

Hi there...we are in Marksville now at a great casino RV park (Paragon RV Resprt) with FHUs at $12.50 with Passport. If you want to stop in Marksville, this is the place - very clean.

We are waiting here for the rain to subside in the NOLA area before heading there which brings up my question- we need a place to stay with FHUs for about a week and am having trouble finding any that are reasonable. Being from NOLA I'm hoping you can help. We have looked at many and are leaning towards NOLA West KOA or Jude Travel Park. Any recommendations?

We were just in Vicksburg to see the Civil War area but did not stay there as we had a site in Monroe and just drove there and back so I'm sorry I can't help in that area.

Terry...if this is inappropriate for this thread, just delete.
