Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Arizona

We are heading to Arizona and I am overwhelmed at the number of parks to choose from. There are probably some that are full, but I don't even know where to start. We prefer a pull through with full hookups and long enough for our 40' 5th wheel. Where is your favorite place in Arizona?

Since 2009 we have stayed at Valle del Oro in Mesa, AZ (East side of the valley). It is a "Cal-Am" park. Only a boring person could get bored there! They have something for everyone. The fitness center is state of the art. It is centrally located new the out door marketplace, Camping World etc. Wonderful dining options. On the West side  of the valley we have stayed at Cotton Lane RV park again centrally located and  a very nice park, that has a small golf course and an indoor pool. The problem you are going to have is the Super Bowl is being held in Glendale AZ in February and you may not have a lot of park options until that is over. May people also like Casa Grande as well. There are some nice parks there. Quartzite is an exciting place to be in the winter as well.

Depends what you want...Leaf Verde in Buckeye (just west of Phoenix) $400/mo, pull thrus, full service, ........Palm Creek in Casa Grande....mostly large back ins (they'll help you back in) variable price, great pools, every amenity, golf course etc.......Voyager in Tucson Approx $750/mo....lots of amenities....
Pick one for a week.....move on if you don't like it, re-up for longer if its the one........Doubt if any are full....I do AZ every second year or so and almost never make a reservation.

What do you want to do? We are in Val Vista Village in Mesa, a large "Cal-Am" park like Valle del Oro. And there are open sites all around - - not many are pull throughs and the pull throughs are more expensive. That said, there is ample room in the back-in sites. But it really depends upon what you want to do. We've also stayed at Cotton Lane on the west side, but I really prefer the east valley. And others prefer Casa Grande, or Tucson, or Yuma, or Benson, or ….. There are just so many places that one can enjoy depending upon what you are looking for and how long you want to stay.

Well, at least having the Super Bowl there finally got the work on the “303” more or less completed.
