Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

HaVe an extra day on the drive between Charlotte and clearwater.  Any suggestions ?  Doing charleston and savannah for more extended visits ...looking. For a neat place to stay for a couple of days bearish the half way mark

Not exactly half-way - but close. I would recommend more than just a day or two –

http://hiltonheadharbor.com/index.php

Location: 32.223124 -80.770644

These are “owned” RV lots but they rent them out.  When you register they give you a golf cart and say “go pick you lot.”  Obviously it has to be open and they give you a list.

We’ve enjoyed this location when going to Hilton Head.

Also, not exactly 1/2 way, but Rainbow Springs State Park has a crystal clear river (spring made) that makes for fantastic kayaking (they rent them cheap), FHU and nice private spots. Also laundry too for $1.25.

Don't worry, that extra day will evaporate and you will have to cancel that extra stop.  biggrin

I'm not too far from Hilton Head Island (Myrtle Beach) and I plan to make a stopover at the Kennedy Space Center some time in Jan. I hope our paths cross!

Coastal Georgia RV Resort just south of Brunswick, GA.  Really great place to stay!  Good restaurant very close.  The Islands of Jekyll and St. Simons are but a 15 minute drive.  So much to do - sight seeing, historic Fort Frederica National Park, great shopping on St. Simons Island, again, many good to great restaurants nearby and on St. Simons Island. We go often for a weekend out of Jacksonville.  You cannot go wrong! Great staff and well managed campground. Pet friendly.
