Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

buying a surge protector - awesome customer experience

just want to share an awesome customer experience when buying a smart surge protector. If anyone needs to buy one, I can highly recommend RV Safety Accessories Inc.

We were looking for a smart surge protector from Progressive Industries. After choosing the right one for our needs the "where to buy" button on the website transferred us to

RV Safety Accessories Inc

www.rvsafety.net

where we ordered and payed. The package was sent out immediately and we had a tracking number emailed to check the status. On delivery day ( 2 days after ordering) the delivery failed because of a slight error on the address. We informed RV Safety by phone message and it was no longer than five minutes that we received an email telling us there was a new package on its way at no extra cost and we were refunded the shipping cost from the first package.

However, there was another glitch causing the delivery of the second package to fail also (USPS mistake). Believe it or not, within one day (after investigating with USPS) RV Safety sent out a third package, this time as registered mail (signature on delivery), again at no extra cost to us.

Three days later we had the surge protector in our hands and we hope the first two packages have found their way back to RV Safety.

I am still very impressed how RV Safety handled our order and the delivery problems. I can highly recommend this company for ordering online. Whenever I have to order any RV stuff in the future I will check their website first if they have it listed. I think their prices are pretty competitive too.

This was my personal customer experience. I have no interest in that company whatsoever.

Bernd

Thanks for sharing that Bernd. Those are the companies we all want to deal with.

While someone always finds a better price, that is an outstanding price for the HW-50C that includes the readout which is really useful in managing power loads.

Recall as well Progressive Industries has a lifetime warranty on this product.

At this price others should really check this out.  It is the best insurance you can get to protect all that expensive electric stuff in the RV.

Nice find.

In keeping with awesome customer service!

We bought a Surge Guard 34750 from Winnebago at their GNR last July. It failed in September during a torrential rain storm. I called TRC about the failure and they said send it back and they would look at it. In less than a week I received a new one. I was shocked when I saw the package waiting for me when I got home.
