Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Road to Myrtle Beach?

I'll be heading there from Raleigh, NC.  Looking at Google maps, there seem to be 3 different ways to go after getting off I95 - each within 5 miles of each other distance wise.  All appear to be state routes.  Not knowing the area, can anyone recommend the best way to go?  I ruled out one because it's taking us through a lot of streets (lots of left and right turns).  Please bear in mind we're still kind of newbies driving this thing so the less traffic, wider lanes and fewer turns, the happier we are!

1) 95 to NC 87 to NC 131 to NC 410 to US 701 to SC 22 to US 17 OR

2) 95 to NC 87 to NC 131 to US 701 to NC 130 to SC 31 to US 17

PS: going to Pirateland, if that helps any, as I know a few of you have been there already.

Thanks!

Take I-40 to Wilmington then 17 south. When you get into North Myrtle Beach take the outer corridor that your maps show, can't remember the highway numbers, but it's an easy route.

Last time we took US501 from I95 and then SC544 to Kings Highway (US17 Business) and turned north to get to Pirateland. It was not memorable, so I guess it was a good route.  US17 is a slow road much of Wilmington to the south end of Myrtle Beach.
