Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

How often do you operate your HF radio in campgrounds?

When I have been seasonal for several years I operated almost every week or weekend we spent there.  Now that we have been mobile more I haven't operated so much.  I am planning on being more active on the road.  I have used my Outbacker OB-8 with the Outpost base most of the time.  There have been a number of radios but I will be using my Yaesu FT-890 or Alinco DX70-T for mobile operation.  Looking forward to many contacts this Spring through Fall.  Ed

I spend most of the summer in Colorado and was on the air most every day. Used a 31' vertical or a 60' long wire in the trees.
Don't have a mobile rig but use a TS-590 in the 5er.

I use a MFJ-1788 and mount it on my rear ladder. I work JT65/JT9 almost daily. I also have a couple daily nets I check into. Don't do mobile HF, just 2m in the truck.
