Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

ok dreamers, pls help me find a replacement microwave?

Hi folks, thanks for reading my post.

The built-in over-head microwave in our 2002 carriage cameo fiver has died and come back to life a couple of times over the past two days, so I'm researching the best way to proceed with replacing it.

we appreciate a toaster oven, and would like to broil inside occasionally as well.

the current microwave measures 20" w x10.75" h by about 16" deep and the opening is larger but has a trim kit for ventilation.

has anyone found a microwave/toaster oven/broiler combo which might work in that space?

thanks, suse.

lowes or home depot......your microwave is a standard over the range unit........they do not build microwaves for RV's they purchase them and put there name on them.

microwaves and dishwashers in rv's can be bought at any big box store......your other option is to remove it and have a shelf built to fit the hole and use the outlet to supply a small micro or convection oven

We have a GE combination Convection/Microwave, and we discovered if we preheat the oven to 350degrees, about 7 minutes will toast any bread/rolls we put in there.

cheers.

We decided not to go with the toaster over, or toaster.  so far, ok

The last microwave / convection oven that we replaced came from Best Buy.

Take your ruler along. smile
