Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Well We Did It

We picked up our 3009RESB3 Select Suites today and are excited about heading out this coming Thursday for our first trip in a Suites. It is in mint condition, used very little and garage kept. However when we got home we discovered the carpet by the bed and in the cellar right underneath were wet. Slide seals have been replaced throughout, so can't figure this out. Any advice ?

Is it possible they steam cleaned the carpets and used too much solution and it leaked through to the basement?

Is it wet on both sides of the bed? If one side, how near the water source for the bathroom is it? biggaRView has a good thought and I would check with the dealer/seller to see if they did clean the carpet and ask them what the heck might be going on.  Also, have you had rain lately.  Also, something in this thread might give you an idea on what you might look at:

Marlin,

I left a comment in your thread at SOITC that it kind of depends on where your "wet carpet" was located in the bedroom.  If near the head of the bed, it could be slide seals.  If near the foot of the bed (and the side bathroom in your unit), it could be either a leaking faucet (behind in the wall) of the shower or it could be something from the roof.
