Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

RE: Dreamers Class of 2015

Dyana - when my friends paid movers to pack their house even the trash in the cans was included! Good luck, and don't kill the DH

Paul and Kim - we continue to pinch ourselves as well and can't believe we actually did it! I think you're at the point where we were feeling more confident about the rig and all the systems and what pace worked best for us. We're only about six weeks ahead of you and so far it gets smoother and more fun every day.

Adam and Karen - we had the same scenario, left in June and went back to see first grandson in August - timing is everything ))) Congrats on closing the house this month and making the big move to the TT. You're going to love it!!!!

fun2 - just a week to go and you'll be on the road in the prettiest time of year - congrats on your retirement, it's the best!

Anyone planning to be in Quartzsite in December - February? We don't have solid plans post Christmas, but likely heading to Q around New Years. Would love to meet up with folks from our class - or any other Dreamers of course!!!

Jodee

IT'S OFFICIAL!

Today is our first full day as nomads! We have been busting our butts for the last several months clearing out our house and we're tired! But now, we are off and running! We are super excited to be hitting the road! We still have work to do organizing our stuff in the rig and hopefully getting rid of more things. The planning process has taken us a decade, but it is done and we are rolling!

Jodee, we still plan to be in Borrego Springs for New Years, and will be in Q with some other friends in January. Hope we get to meet up!

Roy

We must say goodbye to the class of 2015. We were unable to keep our grades up and have been held back a year. A mixture of family responsibilities and the desire to stick around for the transition after a buy out at work has held us up. We have managed to get the fifth wheel installed on the truck so we will be able to weekend it a bit more until we can go fulltime. Won't be long now.

MarkS: We will wave as we drive through Visalia on the way south in a week. We ended up with a couple appointments that are pushing us to SoCal a bit sooner than we had planned.

With the calendar amazingly moving into 2017 today I'm wondering how our alumni are doing?

Still loving it? Best times? Biggest challenge? Where are you now?

We love it beyond our dreams - looking forward to continued travels with no plans for stopping.

My family have visited us twice on the road, great times shared in pretty places. We've visited with over 30 high school friends across the country, most recently three of them in New Orleans for Christmas. And made wonderful new friends from our travels who we meet up with off and on as we all zig zag across the country. The diverse nature and culture of this country has been a surprise at every turn - there's just so much to see!!

I had a health issue while on the east coast and ended up just flying back to California to see my own doctor. That was stressful and put a damper on our time in the area, but all worked out well. Finding competent service providers were a challenge early on, but we've had few issues since then and all resolved quickly. Waiting for a new motor for our steps right now at our stop in the Bayou. Always so nice to have time and flexibility.

We are in Breaux Bridge, LA where it's been raining for a couple days with more expected off and on through tomorrow. Cajun food and music are soooo good )
