Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Top Entry kitty litter boxes

I thought I would post this link after visits with a few other FT RV'ers and my aunt and uncle (snowbirds from Idaho) who all thought this was an extremely clever idea. To us it was nothing new, we've had it for a few years, but for a litter box on the road, it works GREAT!!  We also had this in our S&B for a few years before becoming FT RV'ers and just found it was less mess, less fuss, etc.

Love the idea of it, I can see that it would make it so there is less mess. Only issue we would have is our older cat, who is 16 years old and weighs about 17lbs, would probably not be able to get in or out of it. Poor old man has arthritis in his bad end.

We are thinking we will have to put ours in a closet and either leave the door open a bit all the time or maybe cut a cat door into it.

Any other suggestions would be welcomed!

We bought this when we had a 12 year old kitty in our S&B, she lived to 14.5 years old and adapted to it. Of course, by then she was an "only kitty" again, after our 2nd kitty passed on. Our current kitty is 5 years old, only litter box she has had since we "rescued" her from a pet rescue organization. Maybe won't work for the really old kitties, but a great idea for those who can still adjust their lifestyle.
