Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

A "small" renovation - New floor in the motorhome

Just finished up installing a new floor in our 2008 Berkshire. Lots of detail and photos here. It seems to have been a total success, so if any of you are thinking of replacing your rv floor covering, you may pick up a few pointers. If you have any questions, just ask.

-Don

I really enjoyed looking through the photos at the process. It turned out beautifully. I had always wondered how it might be done and we are do-it-yourself types. Those knee pads looked like they would be handy for a few different tasks. The little boy in the photos was just precious!

Impressive DIY work Don.  Well worth the time and effort in the long run.

You deserve to be proud of such a good work.  The excellent documentation of your efforts is appreciated.

Don,

What a great job! I've thought about doing this project someday and if I do I will certainly refer back to what you've done. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks to all for the nice compliments. I didn't really have time to admire my work while the project was underway... it was just work, snap photos, work some more. I am an avid DIY'er and am not afraid to tackle almost any job, but I have to remind myself along the way to slow down and do it right. I re-did a lot of those miter joints before I was satisfied with the fit of each one. I think that's the key to a successful job of any kind... just slow down and do it right.

Outstanding job. Looks great. My wife wants stained concrete. I wonder if I can get that 5th wheel with 20k pound axles?
