Pilot RV Plus Card

I heard about this at the Hershey RV show. It is not a credit card. It must be paid in full each month. It give .05 off a gal of diesel and it overrides the fuel price limit cut off on the pump.  Sounds good.  Anyone have experience using it?

We have it, and it has worked well for us. I think it actually gives 6 cents off on diesel. The only thing I would like to be different would be if I could pay the bill with my credit card. They withdraw the amount due from our checking account on the same day each month.

We have it and it has worked well for us too.

It is a Accounts Receivable Card that is paid in full every 30 days with no fees or interest.

Since we bought the Good Sam Lifetime Membership some years ago when it first came out, ours has a .08 cents Discount off the cash price of Diesel

The cost of the Good Sam Lifetime Membership has gone up quite a bit since we got ours.

Yep, we use ours a lot too. Not having any issues with the card, just have to watch the balance on it! Can get up there when traveling a lot. Default limit is $1,000.00, it doesn't take long to get up there. I go on and pay on it before it's due.

Nothing against the Pilot or any similar type of discount card.  However, I wanted to remind those who might be interested there are “credit cards” that offer 3 – 5% discount on all fuel purchases.  Now, you have to keep track of when some cards are offering 3% and then at other times cards are offer 5%.  But at $4/ gallon for diesel 3% is 12 cents per gallon discount and 5% is 20 cents / gallon.  So “depending” these could be a good option for those that want to do the research.  Yea, you have to make sure that the credit price is the same as the cash / Pilot, etc. card price.  Never found that to be a problem.  When filling up 60-70+ gallons that can be a nice $12-$14 saving per fill.  Naturally these cards must be paid in full or the finance charges will eat up all those saving and then some.  But keeping all balances at “0” is a good idea regardless.

Just info . . .

I just applied for mine, mainly because of accessibility when fueling. Some places are a pain to get into and out of when towing. The discounts are ok, the other card I use offers cash back and is about the same discount when you do the math.
I need to buy a external fuel tank to add capacity as my current 33-34 gallon tank puts me in the search mode at the wrong place sometimes.
Pilot card seems like it will work well.
Time will tell.

We also have the card and have had no problems using it when convenient. Best part is that it overrides those stupid "limits' that the gas companies put on the regular type credit cards.
