Thanks, Mark. It's been quite a quick turn around in life styles for us. It so nice to have all the home sale, last day of work, prep on the RV done so we can just enjoy the journey now. We never planned on being full-timers, so we are pretty green at the whole thing. I'm still trying to learn how to get around on this web site and where to ask questions. Everyone has been SO helpful in making decisions. Where do I ask about how to get a new probe sensor for the gray tank? They are outside sensors. We learned when it was full the first time, by the shower backing up. Not the best sensor plan.

Yes, Cherry Creek is now surrounded by town. It was a great place for us to park to get our wheels wet.

Unfortunately, most RV's fluid level gauges lack a lot in quality. A number of folks have posted online in various forums about See Level Gauges. According to those that have them, the See Level ones are a whole lot better.

According to their website, they even have some rallies and shows scheduled around the country.

This comment is based on Dave's comment about knowing when to empty the black tank.

I'm nearly 67 years old but can still hear pretty good, but I like putting "eyes-on," so when I'm "suspecting" that it might be about time, I take a flashlight and look down the tube while it is flushing. The water "flushing" disturbs the water in the tank enough to be able to see how close the water level is to the bottom of the "flush tube." To make it easier to see, I make sure the bathroom lights are off when I do that.

Normally, I dump when it is about 1/2 inch shy of reaching the tube. So far, only once did I get closer than that. (Disaster averted.)

We found that the gauges never worked correctly. We learned how long we can go without dumping. With the toilet you can tell when it's about time to dump just by the sound when you flush. We live full time and I just make it a habit that I dump once a week. I do dump early if we are going to be traveling and it has been a few day since I dumped. That eliminates some of the weight.
