Thousand Trails

I know this has been a topic before but want to get some fresh info.

Does anyone have the Northeast and Southeast zone passes for Thousand Trails? Are they nice campgrounds? Which ones should we avoid? How easy are they to get into in peak travel season (summer Months)? Any other info we need before we buy?

Seems TT is having kind of a sale right now and if the parks are on the up and up I'd like to get 2 zones.

unfortunately depending what they call North east is very limited....none in New Hampshire and one in Maine long before you get to see the real maine........the 2 in mass are in the hell zone if you have a class a......and one in NY ..........I guess PA. is good but I would imagine it would be a mayday purchase for the north east......(Boondocking is limited on the eastcoast) but there are some great State parks in the high tourists areas!!!!

I don't know the NE ones and only some of the SE ones. They are a mixed bag, some nice, some not as nice. I tell people to expect weak 30AMP power and water, no sewer, tight campsites with dust, 40' maximum RV and 35' is better, don't expect your satellite dish to work due to being blocked, don't expect your cell phone to work, don't expect wifi. When you get better than that, be happy. All three in Florida are nice campgrounds, full hookups and good site sizes for the most part, open enough for satellite dishes and good cell phone service.  The only other SE ones we have stayed at are Forest Lake in NC, which had some great sites and some not so great ones and Diamond Caverns in Kentucky, which was a good campground in 2004 but my memories are faint.

(Terry will probably move this to the forum with "Membership campgrounds" in the title.)

You know, it is getting bad when the forum participants catch a moderator falling down on the job.  I completely missed that one, even though Ken's thread kind-of falls into a grey area between this forum category and the "RV Clubs" category.

Good call, Bill.  As you can see, it has been moved.
