Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I can't say that we will ever go back to this sweet campground for one very simple reason; the sites are laid out backwards.
It looks as if the campground roads were paved at one time and over the years have just been replaced with gravel. The direction that seems to be the original lay out is now too risky for larger campers due to the steepness of the roads. They now direct you straight in, which makes the sites backwards.
It was very difficult to back our camper into the site. Also, if the site across from us had been occupied at the time, it would have been near impossible.
Another down fall for this campground is the lack of signage at the main road. If you did not have specific directions to this campground, you would never find it.
It is pretty primitive, but I have to admit that it is
one of the prettiest places we have camped.
Rhododendrons are all over the grounds with a mountain stream running right through the middle. It makes you feel like you are deep in the woods....and, really you are.

Although I can't give this campground our "Comfy Camping" stamp of approval, it did have some things going for it...
The TV cable was clear and had a large selection of channels;
the grounds were clean and clear from debris; and
it is close to most everything in Boone and Blowing Rock, including
Tweetsie Railroad.
This is a sweet campground, but beware to those with larger campers; it may be a real hassle to get into your site.
This is a perfect campground for tent, pop-up campers, or small tag-a-longs.
