Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Terry, Doesn't OKC have a rv show in March at the fairgrounds?

Loyd,

Yes to OKC having a Spring RV Show.  Here is a link to a website about it.  As yet, I've not explored the site, but it does show that there is a $9 charge to get in.  If you like, I will do some checking and see if I can get some free passes into the show for you.

I'll check with two different RV dealers that we have dealt with, and if free tickets are available, I'll bet that I could get some.

In addition to the Spring show, they usually have another one in the Fall as well.

That would be great. Maybe we could hook up for a face to face!

Jo and I went by our dealership in Oklahoma City.  It is Lewis RV on Reno over near Eastern/Martin Luther King Blvd.  With the Mobile Suites we are now in, it is the third RV we have bought from them.  For the last two years, they have been chosen #1 RV dealership in Oklahoma City by the annual "reader's" poll.

When I talked with both the sales manager and owner, each told me that the Fairgrounds folks are about to become "little dictators" in that they want to control everything there.  (Venders that sell food at the State Fair MUST buy their plates, cups, and silverware from the Fairgrounds themselves.)

Anyway, because of the fairground's way of doing things with tickets, Lewis RV won't know about free tickets being available until right at the first of March.  I'll keep in touch with them and try to get some as soon as they get them, if they get them.

If we are successful, I'll let you know via Private Message here at the forums and then exchange e-mails and phone numbers so we can get hooked together.  Look at the dates you might be interested in attending.  If Saturday is best for you because of driving up, we are always off on weekends.

Terry

That would be great, even if the tickets don't pan out. Be blessed!

Loyd and Debbie,

Should you only be coming to the forums to read recent posts but not logging in, I have sent you a private message regarding free tickets I have received to the OKC Spring RV show.  Please log into the forum to retrieve that message and get my e-mail address and phone number, as well as other information about the RV show.

Ah, Lewis RV, I remember them well. We purchased our second 5th wheel from them years ago. It was a 36 foot Holiday Rambler Alumalite. We had it for 8 years. It was a great unit and we towed it for many miles.
