Hey, this is excellent news. Not only are you getting to full-time, but you are blogging about it as well. You may prove to be a very valuable source for those interested in owning the smaller RV's, whether they are full-timing or not.

I'll have to try to keep up with your blog so I can have information for others.

Thanks for the reply, Terry. I like the idea of helping others learn from our past & future mistakes. There may come a time when we realize we need more space, but I SO hope not cause I'm convinced I'll always fill every bit of available space, regardless of how much room I have. I need the 'discipline' of a small camper/RV. There are a few other folks full-timing in a fiberglass "egg", but I haven't found as much info as I'd hoped when we started thinking of doing this. In a fairly empty house, it didn't look like we kept much. BUT. . .we've seriously got to get rid of more stuff to travel lighter.

Glenda, Congratulations on your fulltimer status! I can't even imagine living full time in 17', much less with 3 pets and a husband! All the best to you!

Our 'idea' is to follow the weather we like so we can live outside as much as possible. Jeff & Kira currently won't come inside until after dark. Hopefully we'll get a better grip on this before shorter days & cold/rain/snow happens. We really want to make this work tho because we don't want to go back to S&B.

Although, we are not quite ready to Full Time in our 16' Fun Finder, your blog indicates that it certainly wouldn't be impossible! We will continue to "hang on your every word", admiring you and wishing you to best.

Thanks for your comment, Amy. Hope it helps you in your decisions. I've looked at the Fun Finders - they're neat little trailers. As you may have read from other full timers, much of your success and/or happiness depends on your lifestyle expectations in a S&B. These expectations will carry over into your full timing life. If your preferences take more room because you like to entertain alot, need room for hobbies & activities, need a large kitchen for lots of cooking, or have & continue to buy lots of clothes, you're going to need a larger RV to continue the lifestyle that's important to you.

We've lived fairly simply & frugally for years. . .except for that packrat thing, so once we got (and are STILL weeding out) rid of those things we don't use or need, figured out alternate ways of having our conveniences, and concentrate on multi-purpose, light-weight items, we're happy in a small space. Winter will bring new challenges, but we don't plan on being in a knee-deep snow area. We like being outside in a more rustic atmosphere, even in cooler temperatures, so our small trailer is for sleeping & hunkering down during bad weather. With a dog, we'll have more than enough opportunities for getting out & walking. My big interests are computers & photography (neither of which takes a lot of room) so it fits with our living small. Slowly but surely I'm tweaking our trailer & finding ways to improve the livability. I have a blog post started already to explain my enhancements, but Monday (our day off) we're planning on a major clean-out & reorganization. Hopefully I'll get even better organized.
