We have Kenmore and are happy with them. Don't know how we lived without them.

We also have the apartment size stackable Kenmores and are very happy with them. No issues after 3 years of constant use. The only times we go to a laundry room is for comforters or duvet covers.

what about splendide or pinnacle stackable washer and dryer. i have a friend that has an rv parts store and said he could make me a great deal. has anyone had trouble with these?

We use our Spledide every day without no problems, even wash the sheets in it.
We did have to get adjusted to the smaller size which didn't take long.
As for us we give Spledide a thumbs up.

Sherri has the Splindide stacks and she uses her's most every day. Had some trouble with the dryer but was fixed no problem. We wash 90% of our stuff and seems to do real well.

Just remember in doing so you will only be able to wash and then dry. One machine working at a time. Friends of ours have a one unit and hate it and end up going to the laundry mat most of the time. She said one pair of jeans and 2 t-shirt is about all she can do at one time. They have a MH.

We like our Splendide 2100 combo unit and know many happy owners of combo units. But for some people the combos do not fit the way they do laundry and they are very vocal about it.

We have a Kenmore stacking washer /dryer which we bought new about 18 months ago. You can ONLY wash or dry but not both at the same time. Even if you could rewire it to do both, I'm not sure how the control lever could be adjusted on the front of the machine. All controls for both units are on the washer and the lever has to be moved back and forth indicating whether you're using the washer or the dryer. The dryer is 110 volt which of course, means it takes about two hours to dry a load of clothes.
Although it has limitations and we don't use it very often, I like knowing it's there if we need it.

We are looking to purchase a stackable washer and dryer. We are looking at the pinnacle washer and dryer stack. Does anyone have a set or know anything about them???? Also does anyone know how to vent the dryer if there is no place for one on the trailer. We have a 2008 Carri-lite Emerald and there is room for a vent but no vent there yet. Please help....

 While we have never owned a Pinnacle, in the not too far past we were researching the different options of washers and dryers.  Whirlpool, Maytag, Kenmore, Splendide and Pinnacle were brands we looked into.  As for the brand name, I don't know that Maytag or Whirlpool offer stackables.  But, I do know that Kenmore offers a set.

In our looking, we checked on different forums and used our search engine to find particular model numbers.  Then we looked for any reviews of the models in question.

We got pretty positive results with all BUT the pinnacle. 

We know of a couple in Elk City, Oklahoma that buy used Mobile Suites fifth wheels at auction and then go through all the systems and check them out and clean them up.  They are known to install the Kenmore set when they add a washer and dryer.

When searching, watch that you don't get a dryer that is 240V instead of 120.

I ... we ... have clean clothes, towels, bedsheets, etc. without the hassle of going to the laundry at the campsite or go offsite and find a suitable laundromat. Yes, it takes a while to run but, load it up, leave it to do its thing, and come back to find clean, dry, and fresh-smelling items.

One good thing about RVing is that you can put semi-dry items outside to be fully dried by the sun. What could be better smelling than a sun-dried pillowcase?

We have the vented Splendide 2100XC. In the almost 3 years we have been using it I have had a couple issues. About every 6 or 7 months I have to pull the unit and clean out the dryer hose and the dryer exhaust on the back of the unit. In my opinion it is not designed correctly. The exhaust from the drum turns 90 degrees where it meets the back of the unit and is susceptible to catching link. Eventually it will clog. You know it needs to be cleaned when it takes 2 dry cycles to get the cloths dry.

The other problem was a wire connector that burned up, reason unknown. The wires went to the door latch and without it the unit was not inoperative. Took me awhile to find the problem, but it was an easy fix, I hard wired to the door switch.

We still think the purchase was a great idea. We hated going to public laundry to do our clothes. We do at least one load every day we are sitting still. It's nice that you can load it up and forget it, and when you get back to it the clothes are dry.

We would purchase the same unit again despite the problem with lint. Our unit is easy to remove. If it wasn't I might have a different opinion. And it might not be a problem for people who have very short dryer exhaust hoses. Our unit faces the front of the coach and is on the street side, means the hose is longer than the width of the machine.

Stay away from the Pinnacle. Our Excel came with them in lieu of Whirlpool, which they couldn't get, from the first wash the washer made all sorts of racket and we would be outside and could hear it from 50 ft away outside. I contacted Pinnacle and they said it sounded like the retaining bolts were not removed, since I couldn't see if they were or not we did not use the washer, but used the dryer. The bad thing about the dryer is it did not have a lint trap, you have to remove the vent cover on the outside of the unit to clean the vent, fire hazard maybe.
Anyway Excel has replaced the Pinnacles with Whirlpool and it is a world of difference.
I do not recommend Pinnacles.

If you're looking high end we've seen some Bosch stackables in MHs lately. No experience with them -- yet, but we hope to know more soon!

Glad to hear the Splendide works well as that's what we've seen otherwise.

Our Sears units are individual and were installed with the dryer above the washer.

We bought our rv used and it had Majestic units in them. I managed to fix them once. I could not fix the next time and no repair facilities would touch those Chinese units so I junked the and bought Whirlpool units. We love them, they work great.
