Wow, Wabbits are new to the travel circuit...how does one house break a Wabbit? Just curious....Thanks, Marty

We dont travel with any Bugs Bunnies but I have seen people with cages outside of they're RV's with rabbits.

Try looking for the American Rabbit Breeders website. There are people who raise rabbits and travel to show with them all over the US as well as other countries and at that site you may find the info for traveling. When they travel for shows they use something we used to call 'carrying cases'. They were usually made of wire for air to go thru easily were large enough for one animal in each one. Then when you got to the show they were put into a larger cage with food and water. I know they are trainable in a home situation but don't know about them traveling any other way and in carrying cases. And yes as a kid I did raise show rabbits.

Thanks for the info guys! I came upon my male bun as a stray dropped off in a cage in front of my house, and the female from a rescue a few months later. They use the litter box in their cage, and ever since having been "fixed" neither have gone anywhere in the house with the exception of one little spot in my daughters room where he will drop a few little pellets now and again, but luckily rabbit poops are mostly dry and i can just use a dust buster to suck them up! lol

ANYWAY! I'll definitely look into that assosciation and see what i can find out. I just remember hearing rabbits don't like the motion of vehicles, so we'll see.

If anyone else has done this or has pics please let me know!

How do the rats and cabbits.... I mean cats and rabbits... get along? Taking care of some feral cats near here I've seen what most folks would think were some pretty strange things.... like feral cats and squirrels eating dry food off the same plate at the same time.... "and lions will lie down with lambs".... if only people could learn as much as some of our 'dumb' friends in the animal kingdom.... I'm not too sure how good dry cat food is for squirrels, but there sure does seem to be lot more of them than there used to be. And the birds love the dry food too, including the woodpeckers. That is a sight to see... a woodpecker clinging to the side of a concrete picnic table bench, and occasionally hopping to the ground to grab some food.

I've been doing this for several years and have yet to find any evidence of the cats slaying any birds or squirrels.... I guess they've learned that they just can't catch 'em.... it's a whole lot easier just to eat what I give them.

Haha, that's very true. I live in a pretty "thick" area and my cats definitely try to catch some birds and squirrels, but they'll never be able to do it, lol.

Amazingly, the cats and rabbits have always gotten along famously. And my cats do not welcome strange animals in well! Any time there is anotehr cat or a dog in the house, they are very upset, but the rabbits are okay with them!

The cats even sneak into the rabbit's house and take a nap, it's quite a site!

Yes Tim, the lion and the lamb may lie down together, but the lamb certainly won't get much sleep....Marty

Like others, I have seen RV with cages built into storage comparments so the rabbits, dogs or cats have a room with a view to the outside. I've seen setups for rabbits, dogs, cats, Iguanas and ferrets over the years.

Some were pretty elaborate. One trailer had a comparment at the back, the owner had put in a pass thru into the trailer and then attached a cage setup that ran from the storage compartment at the back around to the entry door(about 12 feet). The cage was on fold up stands about 2 feet in the air and allowed the cats to go outside for fresh air and sun or shade as they pleased.
