Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

2 Story 5th

I was researching 2 story RV's and came across this company that makes trailers for entertainers, business, emergency services, and Rv'ers:

North American Trailer Company Ltd.
(Jexcar)
www.jexcar.com
They have a 2 story model named "Monolith" that is quite impressive (retractable second story). Has anyone ever looked into this company or seen their trailers and if so what did you think? Thanks.

I've seen those rigs with traveling carnivals.  Did you notice the size of the tractors that pull those things?  I suspect that all of them require CDLs to transport.  Impressive, though.

Quite impressive! Definitely need a HDT to tow them, and can't imagine what they cost. $$$$$$$
I would also imagine space issues in a lot of campgrounds.

I remember the $2million plus 53' fifth wheels that the roof went up to 18' when stopped at the Tampa RV Show a few years back.  (Howard, was that the same one you did the seminars at?).  Those were party trailers for Nascar races and such.

Bill,

If I think you remember correctly and it was at the Tampa Show when H & L presented.  There was a two story fiver that was billed as being Danny Devito's.

Out of my pocket book reach for sure and nowhere what we would ever want, but it was BIG and quite a draw.  There was usually a line awaiting an opportunity to tour it.

I recall it was not really attractive, just big.  Of course that was from the outside.  It seemed the upper level was one big room with a lot of windows.

The Monolith is huge but very plain looking on the outside. Does look very nice on the inside but seems to fancy for an RV experience.

Speaking for myself, I'm at the age where climbing a few steps into my 5ver is quite enough for me.  I suspect many other fulltimers feel the same way.  But the I doubt the Monolith was designed with seniors in mind.
