Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.


We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

In Rockport we have had lots of rain and cold temperatures.  We have had 2 instances here and one before we came here where there was a lot of rain and the rug under our table became wet.  We can find no where it is coming in, however after taking the bottom panel off under the refrigerator and moving the chairs out it seems to be coming down the wall as condensation under the refrigerator and starting there.   My question is do any of use a dehumidifer and does it help.  (We have the Montanna 3500RL)  We bought one from Sears but it was too noisy so have found one online  (http://www.air-n-water.com/product/AD-40A.html) but kind of thought I would ask the question here first.

Just make sure it is condensation and not a leak in the ice maker line. We had a leak in the line to the ice maker and had similar wetness.

I don't know whether this will help but it is a situation that we encountered.  If you have a double door refrigerator where the doors are vertical, (side-by-side doors), there is a strip between the doors.  This strip is heated internally to stop condensation from forming on the strip.  In opening and closing the doors the wire that provides power to the small internal heater can fatigue and break disabling the heater.  Condensation then forms on the strip and drops down onto the floor or wall under the fridge.  We took the problem to the Norcold folks at an RV rally and they put in a new wire that resisits fatigue and the water on the wall and floor went away.  (No charge I might add)  I believe that the Dometic side-by-sides have the same feature as the Norcold. 

Just a suggestion.

We don't have an icemaker and it is just the regular 2 door refrigerator.

We have been looking for the same thing.  The humidity in our trailer in Texas is very high and it's pretty hard to run the airconditioner when its 50 degrees.  I asked the same question on another forum and this one was suggested.  It is exceptioanally quiet according to the owner.  Have not found one yet, however.
